Euthanasia is meant to be a peaceful ending and a gift. Many pet parents regret waiting too long; however, most pet parents do not regret letting their pet go out on a high note or a good day. Dr. Sara is dedicated to making the appointment as peaceful as possible. Once we have determined that it is time, some paperwork will be completed and decisions for after care (cremation, paw prints, other memorial options). Dr. Sara will administer a sedative that helps your pet fall asleep and results in deep sedation. You will remain with your pet during this time and share quiet time to say goodbye. Additional medications will be given to complete the process. The process is meant to be a peaceful and kind ending. After you have bid farewell to your pet, Dr. Sara will help complete after-care requests ( cremation if desired, paw prints, other memorial options).
